The 43-year-old Patullo’s work with Sirianni predates his move to Philly, as well. The two were together for three years in Indianapolis, where Sirianni was the offensive coordinator under Frank Reich. Patullo started as wide receivers coach in Indy in 2018 before moving to a pass-game specialist role.

Patullo has been in Philadelphia through the multitude of coordinator changes the Eagles have gone through. His hire officially marks a historical first since the 1970 merger, with Sirianni becoming the first head coach to have four different offensive coordinators (excluding interims) in a four-season span for one team. From Shane Steichen getting a head coaching job with the Colts to the struggles under Brian Johnson in 2023 to the Super Bowl run alongside Moore, who’s now the Saints HC, in 2024, the Eagles have dealt with change after change. Now, Patullo gets his chance to put his stamp on the offense.

The intimate knowledge of the roster and staff should help maintain some semblance of continuity for an offense that has gone through the cycle since Jalen Hurts took over under center.
