NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – Legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi was in the right place at the right time for one woman in Nashville on Tuesday evening.

According to WSMV, Bon Jovi was on the Pedestrian Bridge around 6 p.m. for a shoot when he saw a woman who appeared to be getting ready to jump.

Bon Jovi reportedly talked with the woman and convinced her not to jump.

Both the Nashville Fire Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the scene.

No further details were provided by either agency as of Wednesday afternoon.

Bon Jovi is the front man for the band, Bon Jovi, which has released 15 albums since 1984. He has also released two solo albums.

He is known for dozens of hit songs over the past several decades, including “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Wanted Dead or Alive” and “It’s My Life.”

Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
